Dr Hani Mansour Al-Mazeedi

Founder, HalalNews™ Global Network

Scientist, Halal and Food Safety Specialist

A Kuwaiti scientist dedicated to Halal since 1980, Dr Al-Mazeedi specialises in Halal requirements for food and non-food products and in food safety systems, including HACCP and ISO 22000. He holds a PhD from the United Kingdom, is a qualified lead auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 22000, and served as a Halal expert at the first OIC Halal meetings. He is the author of several books on food hygiene and safety, and has organised the Gulf Halal industry conferences in Kuwait since 2011.

In November 2013, his vision gave birth to HalalNews™, a network that has connected Halal professionals across the world ever since.

Head, HalalNews™ Sharia Council

Imam and Islamic Scholar

Imam Nordine Taouil leads the HalalNews™ Sharia Council, which provides Sharia oversight for our network. Together with the scholars and imams of the Council and its Executive Committee, he guides our members on Halal questions, reviews the content shared across the network, and ensures that our webinars remain faithful to the principles of Halal and Tayyib.

Electronic Engineer and Halal Auditor

An electronic engineer by training with a Master's in Supply Chain Management, Eng. Tayeb Habib runs EU HALAL in Portugal. His work spans Halal slaughterhouse audits, liaison with the Portuguese authorities and the development of international Halal trade. An administrator of HalalNews™ almost since its beginning, he leads the Global Webinars and the network's new website and LinkedIn presence.

Knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied: bringing Halal professionals together is a duty and an honour.

Tarik Azouau Tajja

President and CEO, HQC EUROPE

Tarik Azouau Tajja leads HQC EUROPE, Halal Quality Centre, the international Halal certification body of TARIK GROUPE, as President and CEO in Spain and PDG in France. With offices in Paris, Madrid and Mexico City, his organisation helps producers and exporters across Europe and Latin America reach the Halal markets of the Middle East, North Africa and Asia, ensuring certified products meet the requirements of Muslim-majority countries.

For him, Halal certification is not merely a technical requirement, but an ethical commitment to consumers: a seal of trust.

Dr Taher Ahmed Elfaitouri

Halal Food Science Educator

A Libyan academic specialising in Food Science and Technology, Dr Elfaitouri brings almost 29 years of academic and professional experience to the field. Affiliated with the University of Benghazi, and previously with the University of Wadi Al-Shati, he focuses on Halal food science, food quality and safety, and Halal standards. He is one of the initiators of the Libyan Halal Ecosystem, and contributes to HalalNews™ through knowledge sharing and informed scientific dialogue on Halal integrity.

Br Taoheed Ogundapo

Production Manager, HalalNews™ Global Network

Computer Science and IT Specialist

With a degree in Computer Science and a Master's in Information Technology from University College London, Br Taoheed Ogundapo runs the HalalNews™ Global Webinars on Zoom. He manages the live production of each session and prepares the recordings for our YouTube channel, giving his time and skills to the network pro bono.
